If you had $30-40, what desktop speaker would you recommend?

Nothing too loud or too extravagant, just something decent and better than the Harman kardon $10 speakers that come with a Dell System.

AVS500, good budget 4.1 system
It can be had for less than the $59.99 MSRP if you do some deal hunting.

Also check out the Altec Lansing ACS33 for a 2.1 system.
There was a deal awhile back on 'em for about $25, but they're generally about low $30's.

Interesting. Incidentally i was reading the reviews of that exact system on Epinions. It's definitely a looker for sure. I also found the Cambridge to be a good deal for a 4 pointer.
