I'd do up my own making sure I got the parts that I wanted. It doesn't take long...
I wouldn't even spend that much, i love high power PC's, but that is ridiculous. I'd get some extras instead like bluemax says.

Spend $1000 on the Computer (You can get a nice 1.6A System for that) and spend $1500 on a nice FLat Panel Monitor
