would you build one kick rear system with dual processors phase change cooling on every piece of silicon and scsi floppy's???? or would you build a bunch of pc's with decent specs capable of the same stuff each, or would you build like 3-4 systems, one tricked for games, one rigged for music and cd burning, maybe another for websurfing, one for lan, and another for dvd's?? well what would you do.. . . . . ?? ? ? ?come on lets here the awsomest idea

Build a Win98/2k box that was really fast.
Build a Linux/Win98 box that was mostly for linux but fast enough to be used for a 2nd gaming machine.

Invest $5-7k

Sorry I know it's boring, but honestly if someone dropped 10,000$ into my lap, I wouldn't waste it all on my computer, I would not spend money where it wasn't needed to net a 2% performance increase.

10,000? i'd higher a transolater, then goto china and tiwan and buy parts for a killer rig from AKIBA PC hotline and some other cool places.......i saw a pic that akiba has a P4 in their hands

I agree with SleepWalker, build a good upgradable system and invest the rest. IRA will do more for you in the long run then a computer that will be obsolete in 6 months.

Hercules GF2 MX
128MB more of PC133
Upgrade my P3-450 to a P3-700E Slot-1

Put the rest in savings.

I've done something like this.....I'd build one *honk* of a machine.....I've done something but the cap was 13,000...it's got t-bird 1gig, 70 hd, super micro case, 2 burners, 1 dvd, a dvd RAM, and the most expensive crap u can tink of

Half for a car, invest the other half. I'm more than happy with my current $600 system.

if I spent it all on computers, I'd make one computer for games, and one for music/DVD's, and connect them using a Fast Ethernet. THEN I'd have both with their own Dolby Digital Reciever and some pretty good speakers to accompany them (the one with DVD/Music playback would get the bulk of the audio budget, ie better components).

but more realistically, I'd just build a PC or something like that, and put the rest into something that'll give me an acceptable interest rate, then use that interest when there's enough to build another computer etc etc...

AIRSOFT GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on now...
If your talking computers be realistic.

Build a kick ass $3000 system!!!

invest 7k

and put the revenue towards upgrades every few months, so you allways have the best.

building a 10k "SUPER DE DUPER SYSTEM" will be worth crap in a few years...

Well, I heard brothels are legal in Australia.....If I had 10 grand, I'd be for findin out....🙂 Computers are fun, but they aint got nothing on a good peice o a$$ 🙂

I'd upgrade my CPU and video card and put the rest in a savings account to earn some interest. Then every 12 months I would upgrade or get a new system until I ran out of money.

Face it, even with spending $10000 your system will be obsolete in 2 years. Why not make that money last longer?

Who needs dual CPUs and UW SCSI hard drives anyway? I just want a decent CPU, decent video card, decent RAM and an Ultra ATA 66 HD.

ok heres what i'd do with the 10 grand: 2k: hit man take out only man tween me and suntin i want, 3k ring for my girl, 3k 😀oubly redunt dual processor tbird with cross-linked mobo's, 2K for 5nice 19in monitors rigged in a kind of pyramid array

I already have the power I want in my comp.. I'd build another system on another platform and probably get a really nice Chrysler Daytona Iroc R/T
