but no, nobody would notice or inquire about my death.. hell, i just went away for 18 weeks and im guessin that only a few people noticed.
 
Yes... I am 100% certain that the people I talk to online with any frequency would notice... and probably wonder what the hell happened.

And yes... I used to talk to a friend online, and he didn't log on for a while... then his brother sent me an e-mail telling me that he had been arrested for fighting a man who was raping his mother, and then he was raped while in jail, and then when he was released, he committed suicide. 🙁
 
On Anandtech? They wouldn't notice. On certain other forums, they'd notice rather quickly. And the people I talk with on AIM/MSN would most certainly notice.

A few would, though maybe not here.

I've disappeared for 4-6 month stints before and only got a couple inquiries into my whereabouts.

If I died today I would hope my friends wouldn't be too saddened. Life is short, worrying death only exacerbates that.

no, i don't know of anyone for sure who has died. but when they leave for a long time i do wonder....
 
the only person that i know online and not irl (or doesn't know anyone i know irl) that i talk to on a regular basis is sully and i'm sure he would find out from the vidman board or my blog or something.
