If you could write a paper on any moral topic, what would it be on?

GoingUp

Lifer
I have to write a proposal for a presentation for my Moral Issues class later in teh semester. I am stumped as far as what topic to choose. The 3 that I can't choose from are Affirmative Action, Euthanasia, and the Death Penalty because we are writing papers on those already.

What would you choose.... some ideas please! 🙂

Are you looking to raise a sh!tstorm?

Homosexuality
Abortion
Guns (well, more political than moral)
Reduce school funding

Viper GTS

The immorailty of "Faith Healers" "Psychics" and "Alternative Medicine" quacks preying upon the gullibility and ignorance of masses of people.

River boat gambling is a hot spot in my city right now. Very good arguments on both sides.

Legalized prostitution would be another one.

These are two of the lesser beaten dead horses.

Relativism vs Absolutes
Gun Control (hot issue in WI, since right to carry is close to passing)
Dating ethics. 🙂

The current trend of removing all references of God and prayer in public places and schools in America would be a good subject.

Similar to the "write about morality itself", would writing about policing morality be a workable topic? IE focus on laws that police morality such as gay marriages, abortions, etc. Whether they are worth it, the pros, the cons, and whatever. Maybe this topic is pretty large, but it sounds like it would be an interesting paper to write.

The morality of drug comapnies and the AIDS virus would be a great topic. If you can cover ethics as well then you can write on if you believe drug companies should be forced to lower prices to accomodate all AIDS patients.

Conversely, you can write about the protective powers of the placebo effect and the moral dilemma of exposing said quackery.
