No real big regrets. I'd probably just write to give myself advice on how to live life better and be a little happier.

Have the cajones to have sex with that girl when she's giving you not-so-subtle hints, dumbass!

Study hard in the summer and pass the last 12 units you need to get your diploma. DO NOT play Dark Age of Camelot.

Stay away from Cash Advance centers.

Stay away from pyramid type scams.

Once again... study hard over the summer, get diploma, do not play MMORPGS.

Now that I think about it, I'd probably give myself that same advice.

Buy Google IPO and AAPL stock NOW. Don't stop exercising at March, your shoulder will be destroyed when you try to go back to your regimen. Also, screw what people say about making your cover letter sound professional because you'll find the BEST ad agency from writing your own way.

One more thing, stay away from any guy wearing purple shoes. If that's unavoidable, make sure you have a wind up mouse in your pocket. You'll know what to do when the time comes.

Note to self: Several girls will ask you out through high school. They aren't kidding, and you will want to punch yourself later for thinking they were.

Others will make it as obvious as possible without just blurting it out. Take the hints. A good one is "So, doing anything this weedend?"

Dear Dain,

This is future Dain. You may or may not believe it, but I'm coming to you to impart some wisdoms that you will eventually learn. There is a good chance that you won't listen to me, but here are a few things that you should do.

First, don't waste so much money. Trust me, I have almost nothing that you are going to purchase to this day. The cars were all crap, the junk food just made you fat, and the music all got stolen. Save for school so you can go comfortably.

Next, make peace with your father. We have a good relationship now, but it came about five years too late. Don't worry, he didn't die and he's in good health, but five years wasted is five too many. To be honest, you may not even recognize our relationship considering how things are going for you now. The thing is, you need to mature a lot, stop expecting so much for granted, and give him the respect that is due him.

While on the topic of parents, make sure to tell your mom that you love her more often. The woman would do anything for you. Also, she has really good advice and you will wish that you had followed everything that she advised you on.

Do things on your own terms. Don't rely on anyone but your parents for the necessities of life. Others will leave you hanging at the very worst moments but not so for your parents.

Don't doubt yourself so much. You really can do just about anything that you want. You are just as smart, if not smarter, than the next guy. If you put your mind to it, you are capable of learning it or obtaining it. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

Last, stay in shape. It's a lot easier to do it when you are younger than when you are 25. Be disiciplined about it.

Here is a brief five year plan:

18 - Go to school, work hard, keep saving money
19 - Finish your associates and go to University
20 - Go to university, take a few loans if you have to, they won't kill you
21 - Finish up uni
22 - Join the Marine Corps (this is two and a half years earlier than you will anyway, and you'll get out by 27)

Well, that's about it. I'm not going to spoil any of the girl stuff. It had it's ups and downs but you should discover it on your own. ;)

Good luck and have fun!

ya... definitely not one of those "it made me who I am today" mistakes. Nothing was learned, nothing was gained, no valuable experience to draw upon. Just a huge mistake... and a W on the transcript.

It depends how old I would be. If I could write as my 29 year old self to 8 year old self......

I would say:

"Enjoy the quality fun stuff more. Less video games and more reading & playing outside.
When you hit puberty, try harder to go out on lots of dates with girls. When you hit high school, try harder to get laid. Dont put too much effort into studying, because HS doesnt teach you much about the real world, and you can always catch up on the writing and the math in college. Get into Track. Not because it will teach you sportsmanship and all that other crap, but because it will help to keep you athletic and fit. Swimming is a good choice too. Join the swim team if you arent feeling up to Track.

Dont join the Navy, it will fuck up your brain for life and probably your body too.
Work through college. By age 30 you will have found it more rewarding.
If you go to college, try to have as much (safe) sex as possible.

Invest in real estate and sell it for massive profits BEFORE George Bush Jr takes office. Invest in petrolium long before George junior takes office. Keep your petrolium stock until gas prices hit 5 bucks a gallon. DO NOT DEAL WITH ENRON!!!!"

1. Stop playing FF7 while in college and try your hardest to attend class and do hw.
2. Be aware that CyberRebate is going to run out of $ and you don't want to be holding worthless rebates.
3. Do not use "1,2,3,4,5" as a combination key
4. The hot chick in Mexico is really a guy (jk)
