<< I would go to the future, see what the numbers for the $325 million are and then come back and play them. >>

LOL, clever answer !!!

Of course, going into the future is somewhat risky, no guarantee there will be anything there when you get there.

<< I'd go back to the time of Jesus and tell him how corrupt the religion based on his teachings had become and how much misery it had caused mankind. >>

Only corrupt cause God gave us Freewill the church has also done alot of good... Need to get that chip off your shoulder or go to conseling.

I'd Also Go back to Jesus' time just to meet him. that be great! whoa too bad nobody speaks english I'd probably get arrested by Romans or something...

Hehehe.. how about conseling from my nearest parish priest?

More like they'd think you were a Messiah and create another Religion to cause even more suffering among mankind.

<< i would go back to the 50s so i could be a greaser 🙂 >>

Being a greaser wasn't that great.

<< 1960. so i could put down all the money i had on Don Larsen pitching a perfect game in the world series. >>

I think that was in 1956.

<< 1920's. One bullet for Hitler, one bullet for Stalin. >>

:Q good call! why didn't i think of that!? (probably cause i was being selfish)

Nobody would arrest you if you went fully loaded (i.e. mini-gun, semi-automaticic weapons).

<< I will be shocked if human civilization lasts after the year 2023. >>

ditto. its like how most great civilizations (i.e. greece, rome, usa?) dont last for more than 400-500 years. i bet u.s. blows up the world before that.

but what i wonder is what made you pick 2023?? are you a prophet and just not telling us? Nostradamus??!?!?! WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!?!?! TELL ME!!?!?!?!?!

I'd like to go back to just 15 minutes befor that SOB killed me so I could sneak up behind him and waste his a$$. That way I would still be alive today to post on ATOT.

I'd take out a loan and then convert it into a large amount of gold. I'd take the gold back with me to the 1920's, convert the gold into currency, then buy a Duesenberg SJ. I'd use some of the rest of the money to buy a place to store the Duesenberg for the nest 80-odd years. I'd invest the remainder of the money in IBM. Then I'd come back, collect the Duesenberg, cash in my IBM stock, and pay back the loan completely with plenty left over.

ZV

EDIT: The gold is necessary because there's no way that 1920's banks would accept today's currency, so I have to convert modern currency into something that will still be valuable in the 1920's.

there will be something, but probably not human, at least as we currently define it 🙂

The very first person to reply would have gone back to 1960 to bet on Larsons perfect game- well, please do, I believe he pitched it in 1956......

Some tough Cookies in here -"One bullet for Hitler, one for Stalin"- Might I recommend a slightly different scenario? Give Hitler the Flu bug of 1918 (extremely deadly, it killed more people than the War-given the fact that Hitler was also gassed about that time more than like would have done the job), go talk to Somerset Maugham about his assignment regarding one Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (His assignement was to stop said Ulyanov from returning to Russia after the initial Russian revolution of February (March) 1917). He failed to do so, Ulyanov went on to lead the Bolsheiviks in the October 1917 revolution under his Party name, Lenin.
No Hitler, the Nazi remain a no-account minor political party. No Lenin, Kerensky manages to retain power, The Russian Civil war doesn't break out,Stalin goes on to be a zek in Siberia.....

Early September 2001, and i would let someone know about the events to come....
