It would be nice to clean it. I like to scrape my tongue and really clean it good with my toothbrush. It makes my mouth feel so much cleaner. But I can't do the back of my tongue without gagging.

no... here's the thing about tongues... Tongues are like the guardians of teeth. They are constantly checking the teeth out, comforting them, moving around the teeth, removing food, caressing them.
The tongue does this without you even commanding it to and therefore it gets in the way. The more you tell it to stay still the more it plumps up and gets in the way. I wish a tongue could be snapped in and out. I would have a nice little holder for a person to let their snapped out tongue rest in so I could get my work done... then...what a wonderful world it would be.
