It would be Hendrix. He died way too young. I think when Elvis and Lennon both died, they had already past their prime. Hendrix was just starting to tap his potential. Kurt Cobain and Biggie, I think it would have been great to see those two live on as well. But if its one choice, no question, Hendrix.

none.

their premature deaths made their music even more famous.

Freddie Mercury would've been amazingly famous and well known regardless of a premature death. As well as many others listed

Where is randy rhoads and dimebag darrell?

In any case, my vote goes towards Cliffy (going with the poll options)

There are a ton of guys that I really like b/c they made music in the styles that I liked. For example, Layne Staley, Cliff Burton, Kurt, Dimebag.

If I had to choose 1, I'd say Layne from the 1990s before he got too messed up on drugs.

For something that would change history, Mozart.

He lived until 35 right? And started writing at 5? I can't imagine how the world would be different with another 30 years of his music. But in that case he probably wouldn't have done his Requiem, which is ballin' out of control. :p

Cliff Burton hands down.

And for any drummers out there I would be interested to know what Cozy Powell was up to if he were alive today.
