Ok here are the rules. You are allowed to pick any decade in recorded history. You have to mention the decade and a general (or specific if you want) geographic area (like North America). You get to live in that decade at your current age (sorry no going back to your teens or 20s). You will live the full decade then be brought back to the present. So if you chose the 1920s you would spend the next 10 years living from 1920 to 1929 then be brought back to right now.

Which would you chose?

I think I'd pick the 1970s, North America.

Not sure, but I hated Liver as a kid and I was a kid in the '70's, so I would not want Liver in the '70's. I could stand and actually enjoy Liver in the '90's, so I pick the '90's.

80s. Yeah, style was in question then, but it was the years of excess. I was born 10 years too late.

For me, no question -- the 80s. I think the best years of my life were between 1980 and 1985, when I was a kid. Even to have a chance to go back and witness those times again would be worth it in my opinion.

this decade. or maybe the 90's. certainly no further than that. i like my scientific, medical and social progress more than some irrational nostalgia.

whenever people romanticize a time period its usually when they were children because to them that seemed like the perfect time even tho we're much better off now that any time in the past. unless you're glen beck, in which case, america is in the shitter since january 2009.

Back to the 80's.

And despite Inspector Jihad making several logical fallacies in his so-called "argument", the 80's really was awesome.

To drive home my point about his arguing skills: America has been in the shitter since January of 2008, not 09. So already he's lost his objectivity as far as 2 years back.
Fail.
