I've never had them fresh, but they're delicious pickled in a jar.
Tabasco isn't my favorite hot sauce, but it's the most versatile imo. It's thin enough to soak into fries and stuff, but has enough body to sit on top of things like cheese and crackers. It also has a nice amount of heat, and the vinegar is nice, but not overpowering.
Bah...I don't like to use condiments. they just don't feel right. Besides, if you use the same condiment over and over, won't it eventually wear out and/or break?
I could live without ketchup on my burger more easily than I could live without mayo in my tuna or chicken salad... besides, which the right spices you can do a shitton with basic mayo.
