Honestly, it's absolutely amazing how much women talk. I went on a camping trip for a week with my aunt/uncle and some friends of theirs. When the women left for a few hours, it was so incredibly peaceful - just the way it should be. Hell, even the 14-year-old kid shut up and read his book.

You know, it's absolutely-fuckin amazing that the only two times my wife ever needs anything is when I'm 1) cooking, 2) gaming, or 3) reading. Seriously - all 3 are times when I'm trying to concentrate and she's trying to be a chatty cathy.

Maybe you know this; maybe you don't: If you made an effort to talk with her while you weren't cooking, gaming, or reading, then she wouldn't see those times as the only times when she might have a chance to talk with you.

Look, anytime a guy is not doing something that requires his full attention (like the things listed) he will be able and willing to talk. Women just like to know that they have the power to disrupt whatever the hell we're doing to listen to them.
