No, that's a very bad idea. Staying at home on the computer all the time is lonely and boring. I like the occassional free night where the girlfriend's busy with her friends and I have no work to do and so I just relax on the forums all night. But one FULL evening of that is enough for awhile. Other than that maybe just a couple/few hours a day.

You need a job, you need friends, you need activities, and you either need ONE girl or many girls, your choice. 😀

This man speaks the truth. I'm spending tomorrow with the guys...going to the L.A. auto show to drool over future cars and then it's back to Seal Beach to my friend's house to shoot some pool and watch the Chargers beat the Jets! You'll never have those experiences in your bedroom. Only a total loser would pine for that kind of life...weak. Super weak.

Think about how many hours of our day we spend at work, especially in the office. Except for the field workers and others, isn't that an arrest of some sort too--using the definition that some people gave? However, we, excluding a few, hardly think, Oh, how horrible; do we? Maybe we do, but not everyday. (Yeah, we get like 1 hour break, but that isn't significant compared to time spent in the office.)

Different people, a different stroke. There's no wrong and no right in this matter, in my opinion. Some people are wired to live their lives outdoors and couldn't do without being around people and spending most of their time outside of their homes. On the other hand, others enjoy solitude--not to be confused with depression, and they would be fine with just a few friends and family members in the same home, for that is what they call home. And with the invention of the internet (or pen pals/letters), how bored could they get? Then of course, there are those who are in between. The original poster didn't say much about the conditions, but that's my perception in general.
