If you could hear the internet, what would it sound like?

Recordings of radio telescopes have been made from the signals converted to audio. They sound fairly freaky IMO.

With all the "noise" what would a fairly busy subnet sound like?

That's the ticket! Tempest is a method to re-create what data is being sent/received surreptitiously from the bits of RF/EMI emitted from the very components in the signal path. It was most common (and easy) for CRT displays because they were big emitters.
