I'd write my own version of "windows" for the PC. Eventually, My company would buy microsoft, or Microsoft would buy my company (probably the second as I'm not really the best buisnessman.) I'd get an exeutive position within microsoft, and all patents would still be MY intellectual property (shared with the company for free of course.)

Then when Linus starts releasing bits and pieces of his new "linux" project, I'd release all my code to the general pubilc and create this thing called "Open Source" By then I'd already be a multimultimulti millionaire ... so It's not like I'd need the cash.

I would bring all the new beers invented in 1975 and drink the sorrow of my lost wealth away

Nothing but my mind. I'd win 10-15 nobel prizes in Chem and collect 700K each one. Plus all the regional awards. Lots of exciting chemicals we work with only recently invented. Patent many of them. Read up on DNA amplification and identification techniques like PCR patent again and be modern day einstein... then get tenure at Yale or some place and go fishing everyday while my grad students proctor.

Are you so sure they would even listen even if your knowledge was credible? A lot of Bush's cronies would be a lot poorer right now (and Bush probably wouldn't have been elected to a second term) if 9/11 didn't happen.
