Just a few things I thought of, even thought many have said the same above:

1. SPELL CHECK DAMMIT!!
2. Don't cross post.
3. If your building a new rig: use the search to find out what others are trying to build as well. You'll get a lot of ideas on what to buy, and may folks will go out of their way to help these posters get their new rig right. And I often see like 10-20 'New Rig' posts per day, so searching first will weed down the questions you will need to ask.
4. Nothing pisses off the originator of a thread than the idiot who turns it into a flame war. Keep it on topic. If your so immature, and are posting personal attacks in the ATF then I think your too young/immature to be in ATF in the 1st place.
5. If your linking, make your best effort and make sure that the links actually work. Come on folks don't embarrass yourself by having 10 posts saying' the link is broken' etc.

My golden rules would simply be as follows:

1. Read replies before posting
2. Don't let your quotes branch more than 2 replies deep

Oh.... if only everyone followed these rules... I'd be so happy. I don't care if you use leet speak or post about your new video card, as long as i don't have to scroll through some retard who quoted 23 people before him.

100% agree, that pisses me off so much. Alot of us use AT as an escape at work and can't leave the window open in full screen mode. My finger gets so tired of scrolling through useless quotes like that.

Especialy when the person doesn't contribute anything at the end, just a quote from the previous convo is useless.
