right now? I would go to this Uyghur Chinese place in Brighton Beach and just go to town on their lamb dishes, especially the grilled lamb ribs (meat candy on stick) plus a couple veggie dishes.

How anyone can crave a chain restaurant or fast food joint if you could eat anything is beyond me, and makes me sad inside.

Take a scoop of frozen oatmeal raisin cookie dough, microwave it for 45 seconds until it is a soft barely cooked mush, and put a scoop of ice cream on top. It's great.

That's no joke, huh...

Does diacetyl cause dementia?

Consuming these causes a spike in insulin production and sends toxins to the brain. Microwave popcorn contains diacetyl, a chemical that may increase amyloid plaques in the brain. Research has linked a buildup of amyloid plaques to Alzheimer's disease.

Edit: Well, here's the ingredients for those crackers...

To me, the one ingredient that arouses suspicion is TBHQ. A search turns up this:

.

That actually says, in part, "Extensive studies have demonstrated that tBHQ exhibit anti-carcinogenic effect."

If true, maybe nothing to be concerned about...
It's been gone from microwaved popcorn for over 15 years now in the US.

I'd opt for a Wagyu/Kobe ribeye at the moment.

2nd place would be these magical eggroll-inside-a-saladroll that a restaurant in Madison (Ha Long Bay) served. It's an appetizer, but I use to get two orders and make them a meal. So delicious.

Right now.

If I had the motivation I would grill either some really nice snow crab or king crab. Grilled, just olive oil and old bay . Lots of butter and lemon.

On the side. Grilled artichokes, caprese and 5 cheese bread.

Eat until it is hard to breathe....

I am feeling hungry, I could go for some legit good Mexican food, maybe a combo platter, but I will probably settle for nearby Taco Bell cravings box to save money. But at least I would get a Baja Blast.

I'm 57 and have never had taco bell. Never even stepped into one. Am I missing out? They've opened a ton of them in manhattan lately.

Missing out? No, but it's a change of pace for a not terrible price. Just have to try it for yourself. I'm sure you have Mexican carts that blow it away, but they aren't TacoBell, which is it's own thing.

We had a Taco Bell here for a while, I don't even think it lasted a year then it closed lol. As far as fast food goes it was something different than the typical burger and fries so I didn't really mind it but it was not really special, and I would assume the quality has gone down since, like everything else seems to do.
