Several hundred years from now.

Flying cars, space travel, 100-plus years of healthy life, smart-ass robots . . .
Global warming, no social security, no clean water

We're not going to have social security when we retire anyway...at least in the future we won't be paying taxes for it.

I'd like to grow up in the 50s so I could be around in my teens for all the amazing music of the 60s and 70s... I would trade everything to grow up then. Present time sucks.

I'd probably just choose the same as my current life. If that isn't allowed then it would have to be some time in the semi-recent past, since I enjoy electricity too much. Being born in the future is a risk, since 100 years from now in New York City could mean being born a deathclaw in a radioactive crater. 1940's USA FTW!

I don't really care.

It truly is unfortunate that you don't care GM.

You, and the other 3 generations do not have an awareness of the 'earth' that supports you. I've learned a few valuable skills from my great grandfathers before they passed away. I've written down what they told me, and I've been purchasing books about the small scale farming of my 20 acres. I'm learing what and how to grow sustainably on my new acreage.

When you can't buy food what will you do?

Around AD 3, Roman empire (to get Roman citizenship), then travel to Israel around AD 25. There's someone that would be interesting to meet.

I'm pretty happy with when and where I came from.

I was born in '83 communist Bulgaria and grew up as it was transitioning to a normal country, then immigrated to Canada in 97. It was a pretty shitty time to be there if you were an adult, but I have to say it was a pretty interesting time to be a kid - you basically got to live through a lot of rapid change and got to experience an old style society (late 80s Bulgaria was about as technologically sophisticated as 50s America), poverty (though it didn't affect me as a kid - I always had food and clothes), a bit of anarchy etc.
