If you could choose the time and place you were born...

I don't know if it's me but sometimes I wish I was born in an age before computers. It was much tougher back then, you had to do more work, couldn't "NEF" at a desk job like nowadays... if I could choose a time and place for when I was born I'd probably want to be born in the 1500-1800s as a Native American.

That would've been some hard life compared to this nerdy/geeky one.. hunting animals, gathering food, scouting, defending the tribe/country against Europeans or other tribes who want to invade the land / destroy my tribe.

What would you be?

I wish I could have been born in mid 1970s. I was born late enough that I take computers and stuff for granted. I wish I was a bit older so I could have lived without them for a bit.

I don't really care.

I've already invested so much into this life that even bothering to think of another one is a waste of time....

this one is just starting to get good too:evil:

I get the "defend against European" part sort of, except for the fact that most of the native americans weren't able to defend against them because they were dead from small pox or another disease. Is that how you'd want to go? :p

Its ok. Just choose a pre-columbian time...and then you'd only have to worry about a rival tribe scalping you, raping your women, and taking your children as slaves.

:D

Sometime during the Futurama era. I think it's nearly a million years in the future, in the year 3000 in New New York.

Not to mention their great social security system. When someone got old, they were left behind.

Several hundred years from now.

Flying cars, space travel, 100-plus years of healthy life, smart-ass robots . . .

Some other planet, or just some place where science has advanced tens of thousands of years beyond ours.

In several hundred years, I'd certainly hope that indefinite life would be possible, by way of robots with integrated quantum computer processors, powered by Mr. Fusion.
