Male and I can't stand working for a woman, almost to the point of refusing to do so.

A female boss inherently uses feelings to make decisions and will suffer from analysis paralysis to the point of not getting anything done. They want consensus and affirmation of their decisions instead of just making the one that is correct.

Agreed.

I slightly prefer male, but as long as they aren't very conservative (socially; I don't care about fiscally), I can deal with whatever. ;)

I've not experienced that at all.

Bullshit. You pigeonhole all women into an ignorant point view (yours) and you couldn't possibly be more wrong or pigheaded if you tried...and that's sugar coating it for you. :p

I love male bosses better, only with the exception of my current superiors. They're all women (or gay men) and I love them all to death!

I don't care in general practice but in my line of work my experience has been that there are damn few females that have a clue about what we do. To many times I have had to pull their chitlins out of the fire when they went and shot off their mouths to their superiors about something they knew nothing about. Male supervisors in my experience will usually ask us when they don't know something rather than just blindly sticking their foot in the outhouse pit. It seems that in typically male dominated feilds the females seem to always be trying to prove their superiority over thir male counterparts. Makes it a bitch to work for a bitch that has a deep seated need to treat you like a bitch. ;)

Good question... I think I would prefer a female boss, but to date, every boss I've ever had has been male.

Every female boss that I've worked for has had a few screws loose which tend to let common sense drain out of their smaller brains [scientifically proven] every now and then.

I personally don't care what gender - the only thing that matters if he/she will back me up when the crap hits the fan and we have a good relationship.

I have yet to have a good experience with a female boss. It might be my personality, although I don't think I am disrespectful, or it might just be something wrong with woman bosses.

I would be interested in how I would deal with a boss whose gender is unknown.
