Also, props to the mods for having a sense of humor about the parody threads today. They aren't overwhelming and I'm getting a kick of out them. Which shows it must have been a rough workday...

He just got whiny at the end. He was fine to begin with, then started doing stupid stuff to get himself temp banned. He'd come back, be good for a day, then get temp banned again. Over and over.
 
TFP was pure satire. How anyone took his "trolling" seriously is beyond me.

I always said that theflyingpig was the Stephen Colbert of ATOT. He was consistently and always in character here. I think he might have posted his genuine (or at least toned down) comments in P&N, though. Which is all the more funny considering that place is full of characters.

I actually did an analysis of currently posting member styles to see if anyone matched. In the process, I realized that he was fairly clever, but he must have spent an inordinate amount of time crafting each post.

Anyway, he was safe here until he crossed the in a serious thread. People dont always find satire funny when it involves personal loss or serious issues. Sometimes tasteless jokes will anger the wrong people, even in off topic forums online.

TFP was sent by God himself to save this forum from the database corruption that has been growing more and more. Everyone should have known, but they didn't believe. He was eventually banished from this society, but it was as per the prophecies. One day, he will return, for it is written: "Everyone knows this."

No one knows the time or day, but it is said that he will return when the corruption is just as bad as Fusetalk's times before the great move. The time warps are a sign. The prophecies will be fulfilled.

Dunno, but that reminds me of how I never figured out what Riprorin did to be permabanned for the first time. Even in his return he wasn't particularly offensive, just not good at hiding alternate accounts.

EDIT: Actually, ProfJohn's banning probably was related to the whole P&N title editing shitstorm drama thing.

You know, when you read the thread he got banned in... I couldn't tell if it was a serious post. The OP must have been some wacky disfunctional fuck because I really thought THAT post was fucking with us. Kinda sucks he got banned in response to it. His posts were satirical gems. :thumbsup:
