hows that?
Oh, lets see, since the whole mystery of a higher power would be solved, there would be no reason to have religion.
Religion is a belief system, a faith, since the existance of god would have been proven, there would be no need to have different faiths.
We would see a dramatic drop in the amount of violence and wars.

Actually when you think about it. You being God for a day wouldn't change a thing. Because man has an incredible power to deny something as large as God. People would still denounce you. And to think that you'd only be God for a day....so you might want to consider what you eliminate...seeing as how you're going to be mortal tomorrow. Mortal in a world full of people that just had their security taken away by you...scary

If you were God, even for one day, you would be omnipotent. If that was the case, you could perpetuate your divinity indefinitely.

How can you determine what omnipotence entails when its' vastness goes so far beyond our intellectual capabilities. The notion defies almost all human thought. Think about....we can't even begin to comprehend what God is like....so other than in a cute humorous way. How can we possibly thing about what we would do if we were God.

It's an impossible hypothetical. We cannot comprehend what God is like, yet apprehension is possible and can allow us to derive certain conclusions. What we believe about God is critical to who we are, how we develop, and what meaning life has for us. Although absolute knowledge cannot be obtained, this does not mean that we should be denied pursuit of greater knowledge than what we have.

This is why Adam was created first and in God's image, and everything was good, but went downhill from there with further creation of women and other random developments, including the loss of a rib, which I want back, by the way.

- Eliminate hunger and poverty from the world

- Toast everybody who uses religion as justification to persecute others based on religion, race, sexual preference, etc.

- Clean up the environment and make it unpollutable ever again

- Everyone would get along or be able to tolerate one another

- Frivolous lawsuits would result in instant death

- There would be no crime

:D

You wouldn't know that religion would be taken away. You just wouldn't believe in a greater power.

And btw, that's an opener to a flame war if I ever saw one.

Get rid of Berkely and San Fransisco. After that, I'd go after politicians and find people that actually cared about what goes on and put them in charge.

Wouldn't that be toasting someone because of religion? And wouldn't that be persecution?

- Clean up the environment and make it unpollutable ever again

Where there's a will, there's a way.

- Everyone would get along or be able to tolerate one another

Why can't we all just get along?

Frivolous lawsuits would result in instant death

Lower taxes! Higher wages!

- There would be no crime

There would be no freedom.
