Eminem. Either The Eminem Show, the Slim Shady LP, or the Marshall Mathers LP would be fine with me.

Pretty sure this thread is supposed to be about music.

Woodstock

You couldn't pay me to go to Woodstock. That was one of the biggest clusterfucks in modern history. Also, most of the bands gave lackluster performances. Hendrix was pretty good, but by the time he came on, most of the people bailed in defeat.

For a seminal rock concert, the Monterey Pop Festival in 67 would have been the one to go to. That kicked off the summer of love, and propelled the hippie movement. Incidentally, LSD was still legal in 67, and was being given out free by the handful ;^)

Hmm thanks for the tip, if I ever invent a time machine I'll make sure to go to Monterey instead of Woodstock. :)

1. (by far) The Velvet Underground live at Andy Warhol's pad. In other words, the birth of modern music.

2. Any Mozart Opera in Vienna with Mozart on the keys.

3. The Beatles rooftop concert.

4. Tool in the Jello Loft

A Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland concert.

I think he did one in NYC that had other players just about giving on it; they felt so lame after hearing him.

Past: rush when they were young and played the fastest. I'd say in'84 during the GUP tour.

Past 2: Frank Zappa anytime in the 70's. I'd settle for any show since he's dead now. Seriously. If you know anyone with a time machine that I can kill to use, LMK.

Future: Rammstein

Future2: Steve Vai if he gets a good band together like Alive in an Ultra World.

I was going to mention the Altamont Free Concert...My dad (who was a late teen by the time this show happened) grew up near this area and he remembers the Hells Angels getting paid in beer to be "security" for the show.

OH HELL YES

Good choices! Though with Mozart, I'd prefer to see him play his own music in something other than an opera. I'd spend too much time alternating between watching Mozart playing and the actual opera.
