How safe is it too run my celery 1.2 @ 1.6GHz with a vcore of 1.84v? Temps are around 41 deg. C at load.
 
S478 is a more advanced packaging. They didn't use it last year, simply because the technology wasn't available yet.

And actually, Slot 1 debuted in 1997 and lasted into 2001. FC-PGA debuted in 1999, and lasted through 2001.

For comparison, AMD's Slot A barely lasted one year (or did it even last that long?), and Socket A is approaching 1.5 years old.
 
I'd like to know if it was negative consumer feedback that finally caused them to abandon those inept and irritating "blue dudes" and if so did they hand the people in charge of that Ad campaign their walking papers and/or fire the agency responsible?
