Basement with fully stocked wetbar and a garage.
I currently live in a townhouse ... and those are the two things I want the most that I will most likely require when I move down the road.

As far as realistic mod ... I'll probably be pitting in a Patio one of these days

Solar panels and wind generators which would run into a massive set of batteries which in turn would tap into the energy grid.

Not to mention the little bit of profit from selling spare juice to the electric companies.

I've often considered the plausibility of this. I think it is doable for most scenarios. And for others, you could have swining doors powered by linear actuator motors (not clumsy grocery store arms)
