My experience is that they have the best quality in it's price range. I'd take Ikea sawdust to WalMart sawdust any day of the week. Sometimes you don't need the best, and good enough will do for your purposes.

Well, I guess if you compare it to Wal-Mart. I don't spend a ton of money on furnishings but seem to be able to find plenty of good stuff on craigslist, ebay, garage sales etc. But to each his own.

Well sure. Going used is the best way if you want to put in the time. That's my preferred method also. Sometimes you need something quick, and imo, Ikea's the best of the bunch.
