Salt is an acquired taste anyway. If you go without salt for a while, then everything you used to eat tastes unbearably salty.

Thread title says 1 spice - garam masala is a blend of spices.




I hate to admit it ... but you're right. The Garam Masala I use is a mixture of coriander, chili, black salt?, pepper, cumin, nutmeg, ginger, dry mango, fennel, etc.

Yeah but if you ever eat out or eat anything remotely processed you basically can't avoid it. I'm sure you can living on a farm and all :p

I'm 1/2 Chinese and grew up eating very salty Chinese meals all the time so salt is just about literally in my veins. ^_^
