Another ridiculous statement. Do I disagree with some of Bush's policies? Yes.

Would I make people aware of threats on the President of my country? Yes.

I'd love to hear the comments from the "Yes (except for Bush)" voters.

We're a country of laws. We settle our differences at the ballot box. That may be a bit naive to say, but we don't determine our leadership at the barrel of a gun.

So to the (so far) 11 people... care to explain your position?

Letting the president get murdered would not be a step towards an improved democratic process.

As for the 11 that would let it happen, I don't think they've really considered the consequences (president Cheney).

Yup and we know the first response would be to invade Iran with faulty intel :D

Yep, that's probably the only down side to the entire premise...Now if someone were planning to take them BOTH out at the same time...:p

I'd probably conveniently be somewhere there was no phone service...until after the deed was done...THEN make the call so the "dirty-deed-doer" would be captured and brought to justice...(probably end up like Lee Harvey Oswald though)

However, having them both get hauled off to the War Crimes tribunal in the Hague would be more satisfying for me personally...(and probably for the rest of the world...with the exception of the Republicans) ;)

Perhaps thhe question should be: If you were aware of a plot on Bush's life. Would you hatch a plot on Cheney's life? :D

I would report on anyone for any President. The country comes before personal dislike.

Which was...?

I think the purpose is to show that all Americans Democrat or Republican would not want their President assassinated.

What is your point sir?

I mistakenly thought the purpose of this thread was to gang up on anyone who voiced a 'no'. My bad.

hilarious to see the resident libs in here foaming at the mouth over this one

Do you ever make posts that aren't unfounded slams on liberals? "Foaming at the mouth"? Uhhhhh...riiight.

You really ought to control that imagination of yours; makes you seem like a hate-filled nut stuck in some fantasy world. Do conservatives a favor and plug yer hole with a :cookie:

Yes, but because it would be the "higher ground" choice and easier to live with down the road.

OK, I called the White House and told them not to let the President go hunting with Cheney.

Secret Service hurriedly leaves the White House and a convoy of black Suburbans begin speeding through Washington.

hey, i just called them too and they said bush actually wants to go hunting with cheney as they have three things in common: they both are very near-sighted, they both have itchy-twitchy fingers resting on hair triggered slug-loaded shotguns and they both feel pre-emptive about shooting at any kind of imgainable threat.

i also heard nancy pelosi is secretly arranging an all expenses paid safari for them through a third party corporate lobbyist with direct ties to a guy named abramhoff or something like that.

it's also rumored that both these men have tightly controlled parkinson's also, but at close range, it's still some encouraging circumstances no?;):D

No, its not a total troll thread. And I for one will bite and say yes, 100% no brainer, if I blundered into the information, I would alert the authorities to save the life of any US President. But its still hypothetical and extremely unlikely to happen. That I, Lemon Law with as secret Identity of a mild mannered ordinary citizen would ever blunder across any such nefarious plots unless I were already working in some domestic spying capacity. And my circle of friends and family tend to be almost 100% opposed to GWB&co. and we therefore are also opposed to using violent means to impose our wills on others.

So one should look to GWB supporters as the ones most likely to uncover these plots against GWB&co. And also as the set most likely to use these kinds of violent means that hatch such plots. And GWB&co. should have long ago realized, that with friends like some of their supporters are, they don't need any more enemies.

Funny that many lefties (23 at last count) will vote "let him die" but won't post in the thread. I've stated before, rabid lefties are just as violent as rabid righties - the difference being they want others to perpetrate the violence for them. Cowards.

But it's also good to see a few sound minds still remain on the left...kudos to those who recognize that morals cross party lines.

Although I dislike Bush, I would report it for 2 reasons.

1. because Cheney is a bigger threat. And 2, not even dumb asses deserve to die.

More importantly, i would be hesitant to do so because they would prolly think I had a hand in it

Just as likely Cowards on the Right trying to seed the poll to make it look like Lefties voting no. Hey from my observation neither side looks to be predominantly "Heroic"

That said I think this thread has outlived any purpose it had and will be locked to prevent it from further escalating into a flame fest.

Not going to answer this, but I will leave it at this, were this to happen to our current president, I would not shed a tear.
