I'd probably quit. But then again if battlegrounds doesn't come out soon I'll be done with the game in the next month or so.

That's a pointless argument. A 33% increase is a 33% increase regardless of the actual cash amount - are you going to use the same argument when internet services goes up by 33% - it's only an extra $20 a month !, and then cable tv goes up, then movie prices go up, then food goes up etc etc...

MMOs are still generally exceptional value for money, alternative entertainment more commonly being in the $15 per *hour* range not $15 month range, but to complain that someone else's valuation of something is incorrect without the details is futile.

For example - $15 for 100 hours of EQ2 could be considered to be great value by some people, as compared to $30 for 2 hours of going to a movie with your girlfriend, 8 hours of talking to her, 20 extra hours of sleep, 20 hours of work about the house, 20 hours of exercise, 10 hours of watching tv and 10 hours of reading a book.

Other people might consider the second a much better use of time, despite the fact that it costs more. The reason is that the cost of an MMORPG is not purely monetary.
