If we won't raise a finger for Democracy in Tibet...

"If not us, who? If not now, when?"
President Ronald Reagan.

With the US now the number one supporter and backer of dictatorships around the world, is America a "force for freedom"?

Why spread democracy? Our forefathers hated democracy and considered it tyranny of the majority. We are a constitutional republic, unfortunately everyone's been brainwashed into thinking democracy is good and it's now the propaganda punchline of the day. They've done a bang-up job, haven't they? 🙂

We should intervene. After all, all those Chinese crashing planes into our national landmarks are really starting to piss people off.

If Saudi Arabians crashed planes into our landmarks, why would we invade Iraq?

Fail.

They didn't hate Democracy, they loved it. They just realized that it needed limitations.

Nor did we invade Lebanon, Egypt, or the UAE.

And isn't Bush already pressing China about Tibet?

Clearly the Dub is already dialing up the rhetoric to pave the way for an invasion because that's just what he does.

Again, why would we invade Iraq if they had nothing to do with our landmarks?

What sort of actions would we take to be a "force for freedom"? Obviously you haven't changed your opinion about giving Iraqis freedom so this entire notion appears to be hypocrisy.

For the same reason we invaded Afghanistan when no Afghanis crashed planes into our landmarks.

It's understood that the word "democracy" now means "A constitutional republic".

And what is that reason? The reason is the same for Afghanstian and Iraq? What the?

Well I wouldn't expect someone with the simplistic attitude of ' mostly Saudi men attacked us so let's invade Saudi Arabia' to understand.

At least I assume that from your simplistic questioning. Maybe you have some depth, but you need to show it instead of arguing a ridiculous fallacy.

Let's see what your hero Hillary has to say on the topic:

link

Let's see, she calls on the Chinese government to prevent further escalation of this conflict and to urgently pursue resolution through peaceful means. Oh, and of course some negotiation thrown in for good measure.

It definitely be said that Hillary isn't the answer to the "If not us, who?" question.

Well, you're the one who brought up "Chinese flying planes into landmarks". See the problem with your logic?

No.

The fallacy was begun with assuming we invade a country purely for democracy. It's not that simple though, is it? You argue that by being attacked we invade the home country of the attackers. It's not that simple though, is it?

Saddam was harboring OBL and Al-zwahiri? 😕

Were they in a mountain cave eating yellow cake and ice cream, too? 😕

Again, you brought up the Chinese first... insinuating if they did in fact fly planes into our landmarks, we would be invading China. Well, guess what? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. So why did we invade Iraq? Go ahead.

Do you understand sarcasm in the least?

btw, I've explained numerous times in here why I believe we invaded Iraq. If you care to know my opinion then use the search function instead of repeatedly asking insipid questions that use a fallacy as their premise.

Thanks.
