I lost my job when I was 25 when the company went out of business. Moved in with dad until a new job came up and I got back on track. I got laid off a month ago (5 years later) but now am engaged and live in another state. However if I had to move in with my or the girls folks I would.

To me it sort of seems almost the point of having family: To have people you can depend on when life is in the shitter.

When my parents got divorced (I was no longer living at home) my father moved back into my grandparent's house for a few months. He was a successful president of a small company (about 40 employees), 50 years old, and living with his parents. A few months later he got a house but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. You do what you need to to get by.

No parents here. Been on my own since 17 anyways, can't imagine living with my parents. I would love if they are living with me here though.
