If u hit a person in teh parking lot. That person is not there. Absolutely no damage to that car, what would you do?

Eye'm curious, because eye've seen tight parking spaces before where people play roller derby with other people's car when parallel parking. It's hillarious to watch.

I've done it, no more damaging than knocking the dust off. I left a nice note, explaining what happened, where it was hit and my contact info if needed. I tucked it under the wiper blade. Never heard anything out of them.

If eye was absolutely positive that there was NO damage, then eye'd just leave! Eye backed into a '67 Chevy Impala at my old apartment. It dented in my bumper, but the impala was perfect. There was no need to leave a note, IMO!!

Take pictures and leave a note. Some people might try to use it as an opportunity to screw you.

Taking pictures would be a great idea. Eye was also thinking about the fact that leaving a note could be an easy way for some one to screw you over!

I would leave a note on their car saying that I hit them (describe where I hit them) and say that I couldn't find any marks or damage. I would also leave my phone number.

Oh. Taking pictures would be a great idea too.

I have a good story for you guys. A good buddy of mine had this happen to him. He accidently let go of his clutch because of slippery dress shoes and accidently tapped the rear bumper of another car. There was no damage to the other car but he left his number and a short msg just in case. To make a long story short...the owner thought this was a nice gesture and called to say thanks One thing led to another and 3 years later they got engaged and married.

I just saw somebody do that the other day. He was in an older accord, and backed into a nice Audi A4 while leaving his parallel park. He looked left and right (so suspicious) and just zoomed off. His car was undamaged, but a scuff was left on the Audi. I just took down his license plate number, the time, and put a note under the windshield wiper of the A4.

I hate people who do not take responsibility for their mistakes.

Even if I did some minor damage to the other dar, I would still just leave. People are @ssholes these days and you try to do a good deed by telling them and you just get screwed over by them then claming all kinds of damage was from you.

But I'm just talking about if my door bumps the car or something. Not if I run into them and dent the whole car up...
