Obama's Peace Prize Award was, IMO, for his successfully steering the world's most powerful military nation, in his campaign, away from the neocon changes under Bush.

Obama had a lot to say to repudiate the right-wing, aggressive war approving people who had beenin power and to help the more peaceful, global approach beat it.

Going by what he said, at least.

It was controversially an award based more on speech than action, and I think it had a lot to do with wanting to encourage the change away from Bush.

But that's part of what it's for, to promote peace. Whether Obama has done as he said...

One thing we can say is that he has not been launching new aggressive ground invasions.

Seriously? A worthless/baseless/meritless award is a good thing for a president to have? That carries weight with you?

A nobel prize is one of the highest honours a human being can have bestowed upon them, yes it carries weight with me.

That's not an indictment on his intelligence. He's an attack dog and somewhat reactionary. Always has been. But he's not stupid. He's going to be fun to watch in the debates.

Based on what I've seen he isn't capable of intellectual debates, he will just chase after whatever is catching his eye at that given moment, then move on forgetting all about it.

Bestowed for what exactly? Being black?

You just described Obama.

I've read all trumps books but there is no way I'd pick that trust fund baby Trump. Plus he's stupid.

I've no idea, I'm not on the nobel committee, nor have I looked into it, I've no doubt the fact that he's black contributed to it.

You just described Obama.

Obama always comes across very articulate, very intelligent and highly affluent in my opinion. I've never seen him look like an idiot. The opposite can be said for Trump.

you need to realize your obama is a liberal media creation. If it wasn't for his willing accomplices in the media he would be still stapling bills to light poles in his "community organizer" racket.

Every time I hear "liberal media" I just laugh.

I did. And so has every other person with more than half a brain. Obama did nothing to earn the award much less the nomination.

The Nobel committee disagree with you. No offence but I'll trust them over you in this matter.

Nope, actually their explaination was based on future expectations and not past performance...

And their expectations still have not been lived up to. Not only has he not ended the war in Afghansitan and Iraq, he's started a new one in Libya.

Fail.

Trump has been as owned as anybody could be by Obama over the last few days.

At that point, I would just write in Pat Buchanan. But, I would still trust the country more to Obama than Trump, whose motives are unclear and I am not sure if he is doing this just for publicity or shits and giggles.

LOL! His NPP was the biggest joke in the history of the award. He was nominated a week after he became president. Tell me, what did he do to earn such an award? And how was he more worthy than any of the other legitimate candidates who didn't get the prize?...
He invalidated the race card.
