if there were two cases wit the same fan lay out and everything the same except the case would the cooling actually be different or is it just the cooling you have in the case( blow holes cpu fan gpu etc...thanks

No, the case itself makes a reasonable difference...otherwise Dell wouldn't be able to cool their stuff with two slow, slow fans...and neither would some of us .
