Not really, still inconsequential in the grand scheme. Nations that mandate every citizen own a firearm have the lowest rates of gun death/violence in the world, remember.

A large number of the unexplained disappearances in the world are from alien abductions. Whether they died from anal probes or are in forced breeding camps on some alien world, I cannot say. The History Channel should do a miniseries to investigate.

Yes (with the assumption that everyone will automatically know how to use a gun and that the gun has infinite or excess supply of bullets). The bad guys ALREADY HAVE GUNS. Now the playing field is evened out a bit. Even then, people that get a gun but don't want it can sell it for something else, basically free money.
