If there was a button that you could push that would kill every idiot on the planet...

Depends how you define 'idiot'.

Some people have their moments, but are generally smart.

But some people have almost unbelievable gaps in their knowledge -- not being able to locate the U.S. on a map, for example.

I often wonder what it would be like to live in such a world. What would you think about all day?

I know some people who are blissfully ignorant but also have a passion like music or art. In that case you could think about your passion.

But if you had no passion AND you were ignorant, what on earth would go through your head?

I can only guess that such a person would be even more selfish and limited than the rest of us... and very easily controlled. (See: religion, politics)

yep. [no]

the human race has succumbed to total and rampant idioticness. A button to erase that? Sure... but while I strive to enjoy my life and press on to allow those around me to do the same, I have a rabid distaste for humanity in whole, as personally, I am racist... of the human race.... as it fails hardcore, and if history proves anything, it's that its been a continual downward spiral ever since the invention of the wheel. ;)
Now... I don't want to live the life of a caveman, thus... either end it now, or fly off this rock and colonize space. That's our only answer towards future success as a lifeform imho... that, and the advanced philanthropic understanding that would hopefully come with that, namely the ditching of religion to better and clean up the minds of mankind. Hopefully. That, or again, we're destined for failure.
Then again, I don't know if I'd want a button press. That's like some world dictator deciding to eradicate all life, like in those sci-fi stories of doom. Rather, it should be a natural extinction level event, to establish in history the utter failure of mankind from preventing its own demise. :D But something that only mankind would die from... the rest of the life on Earth seems quite capable of carrying out normal life. Although, the primates would likely rise again... wonder if something like humans would come again... also gotta wonder what life would be like if Neanderthals became the dominant lifeform. hmmm

You realize you have almost 39000 posts? I wonder how much of your life has been spent on these boards in the last 7 years?

I wouldn't want all idiots to disappear, but i'd love one of them remotes like in Click so that I can pause time and beat the shit out of someone for their idiocy.
