In the west, snow is a function of elevation.
 
Five feet of snow on the ground, no power since last sunday. I'll post some pics later if I get up the enthusiasm to go out with a camera. Bleh. Spent the last few days shoveling snow off of roofs to keep them from collapsing, and moving trees off the county road so the electric company can come work. The county didn't bother to remove snow from the roads up here all week, until today. Have to drive to the post office to get our mail because they haven't delivered it in a week. Merry fucking Christmas. I hurt all over and can't soak in the hottub.

Oh, this is Portland Oregon metro area, up in the Coast Range.

Not as much snow this year as usual, but I'd say it's about average for the past few years. Global warming = less snow. So I'd say in pat 5-10 years we've been getting less, and we get it later.

Though there's still January for all the storms. 😀

What's up with bbzzdd? I really hate to complain because the price is right, but the site seems to intermittently run slow as slow can be. Is this just me, or is everyone experiencing this?

I just did a preview and bailed on the first link after a full 60 seconds had passed. 😕

Those are the "backs" of the houses. I see outside from my room to the back... I guess it's an alley? Idk.. All I know is we have no parking space so we park in the yard. Thus the tire marks, and the mud.
