Dubrovnik is pretty sweet. A professor that is a member of my group here does structure from motion work (computer vision, 3d reconstruction).

He built a 3d map of dubrovnik using nothing but images downloaded from Flikr.

It's totally awesome

The points in the cloud are features matched across images. You can go a step further than this and build a textured mesh, but he hasn't done that with this data set as of yet.

Nice, would be cooler if you could play with the viewpoints too!

I like the idea of a huge cabin in Wyoming or Colorado, atop a hill, with an overlook across a huge expanse of forest, a lake, and snow covered mountains in distance.

Ireland, New Zealand, or any underpopulated area in the far NE or far NW of America (ie Alaska, Washington, Maine, etc). I like it cool, wet, green, mountainous, coastal, laid back, etc.

If I could get work, Eugene. On the west side of town near the humane society.
But Hynix shut down, I lost my job, there are no other good jobs in town, so I left.
In fact I wouldnt be surprised if that place has since become a little less wonderful.

Someplace green, with an open field filled with bright spring flowers surrounded by trees of a forest with a small stream running through the trees close enough to hear from the kitchen. Hopefully without mosquitoes.

That is my dream.

two of my favorites places are Petoskey, Michigan and Bar Harbor, Maine.

Duragno, Colorado is nice as well, but I prefer to be around water.

Oregon, Washington, Montana, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New England, any of Canada. South America has good options including Argentina. Then there is France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, and the SW territorial countries of Russia. The possibilities are wonderful to think about.

Speaking as a sport~motorcyclist: I like rolling hills, trees, lakes, well~paved twisty roads, low traffic, and police who posess a sense of humor. Plus a Temperate and reasonably mild climate.

Eastern Tennessee is about as close as it gets...

...still haven't found a cop who thinks it's funny, tho! ;)

Agreed, I from Jersey too and riding in eastern Tennessee/Western NC was amazing.
