I found it interesting why specific countries were red for McCain. It seems the voting would be more distributed, but Macedonia, Czech Rep.,and some place in Africa I never heard of were about the only spots in the world where he was winning.

Although to be fair, it shows the US as voting for 82% Obama, which is pretty skewed.

Makes sense though, I guess most McCain supporters can't use the internet.

Surprised Israel isn't redder...

In general the results seem awfully skewed to the left, so I'd take them with a grain of salt.

In a similar poll taken in 2004 (using more scientific methodology - I think the BBC took it), every country in the world supported Kerry other than Russia, which was more or less split, and Israel, which was firmly pro-Bush.

repost.

and the problem is that foreigners don't grok the policies of BHO... they see him as not-Bush and think his policies will be the complete opposite of GW, which they won't be.

Screw the world. If they don't want McCain it means he's the best for us. We don't want to be like France! They are freedom hating socialists. I don't give a rat's ass what the world says, blah blah, etc. <insert bullsh*t here>, etc.

In fact they are voting to some extent by funding the campaigns of both these guys...

Your churlishness in this election season is an entertaining by-product of your candidate's erratic, incoherent campaign and his inability to connect with voters. At least this post was free of any :laugh:s or :roll:s for once.

In any case, I for one am glad that, no matter how this election turns out, we will elect a new President who isn't an international laughingstock (even if, in McCain's case, his running mate is) - our reputation in the world community can only improve.

If the world could vote we'd live like the rest of the world. How well does the average Indian or Chinese citizen do these days?

I'll stick to Americans voting, thanks. As badly as they do, at least we aren't living in shanties and dumpster diving for food.

I don't have a candidate. I've told you and others this time and time again, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop with the lies.

the candidates are a mirror to yourself... if you don't have a candidate, you must be a sad and lonely boy without a sense of self

The graph is very skewed, as is any real online poll. your taking a very small number of people, sometimes 1-2 in diffrent countries and judging the whole country on them. Also younger people are more likely to vote for obama, and more likely to use the internet.

Anybody have the figures for homeless people here in the US?
