Inflation is a global problem, and the US is fairing better than most industrialized countries.
But those that traded in their country for a fucking red hat simply find facts, and reality beyond their comprehension.
All humans are "beyond" reality, as we never actually touch it for ourselves. We identify with a person, or a tribe, and our Ego sells all sorts of fantasies to make itself comfortable. Reality never need apply to how we think and how we behave. So the point is, someone needs to guide us there. If Inflation is a problem, we need a leader to show us the way forward. Everyone needs to be made aware that other nations also suffer inflation, and the reasons pointed out. That we are doing better needs to be pointed out. Humans must be made aware of reality.

If anyone does not know these facts, then the job of our leader(s) is unfulfilled. We have not been lead into having a proper frame of context, from which to build a healthy narrative around the issue of rising prices. That opening is a weakness for MAGA and other hostile actors to exploit. Where our propaganda is absent, the propaganda of the enemy will pervade.

Not to intrude, but I'm kinda getting sick of Biden. I am definitely NOT Trump or DeSantis or that other weirdo with the funny name that I don't even care to try to learn to pronounce.
What irritates me about Biden is his complete lack of addressing the high prices and gouging going on in the stores. Food prices!!!

But what really ticks me off is when these people on CNN and MSNBC say thing like YOUR DOLLAR IS GOING FURTHER NOW THAN EVER BEFORE, or when they claim INFLATION HAS GONE DOWN IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. Really?
Have any of them actually look at prices lately? Every time I buy something in any store, not just Walmart, the price has increased by dollars. Not by cents or tens of cents, but one and two dollars. Stuff that was 3.98 a month ago is now 6.98. And stuff that was 1.99 a week ago is now 3.99.

Its one thing to dislike Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis and that weird guy with the weird name, but when Biden is MIA on what people are dealing with out there in the world, and then trying to act like we are stupid by telling people HOW WONDERFUL the economy is getting. Well, THAT really pisses me off. Not only are they lying to us, but they think we are fools. They think that we can't see for ourselves how the cost of everything is still way out of control.
it is not getting better. And I don't know what the hell Joe Biden is doing about this, if anything. Joe acts like OH WELL, THAT'S CAPITALISM FOR YA.

I agree that he should seize the means of production and implement price controls.

Inflation has gone down in recent months. The problem is that's the rate at which inflation is rising. That does not mean previously high prices went down.

High prices are controlled by multiple factors. That's why there are multi-year courses on economics.

And yes, the free market does largely control prices. But only if there is competition. Let's skip commodity prices for a moment. Let's just look at the shady ass Internet companies. Comcast, Spectrum, Verizon, etc. Look at cities where there are three valid options for broadband Internet. Prices start at about $40 for decent Internet. And the Internet companies are able to make a profit from that. In areas with no competition, or only two competitors, the same plan may start at $80-100. And yes, if there are only two competitors, the prices are still sky high. You cannot convince me there isn't collusion going on.

Now let's take a look at commodities. For food prices. You can partially thank Russia's war on Ukraine. It's putting pressure on world food supplies, which means higher prices. That is not really Biden's fault, nor any politician's fault. There are things that politicians can do to try to alleviate the problem, but it's not directly the fault of Biden, or any republican politician.

Another factor is worldwide shortages in being able to manufacture certain required products or precursor materials. It's complicated, so I won't get into it. The result is higher prices. Again, that is not really Biden's fault, nor any Democrat or Republican politician's fault. Again, there are things that politicians can do to try to alleviate the problem, but it's not really their fault.

One major factor of inflation that Republicans seem gung-ho in supporting is subsidizing big oil. You need energy to move commodities. Higher fuel costs means higher prices for everything. Now prices for oil is partially controlled by the criminal organization known as OPEC, but big oil is making record profits. They aren't just raising prices to cover inflation. Big oil is making record profits. And the Republicans continue to support subsidizing them to the tune of billions. In 2022, big oil received billions dollars in subsidies. All while making record profits. They doubled their profits from about $100 billion in 2021 to over $200 billion in 2022. All while sucking on government teats. And of course Republicans are the ones who keep on giving them subsidies. Again, the abilities of any politician to do anything is limited, especially in a free market, but at least we can stop giving them free money when they're making money hand over fist.

Once again, inflation is a highly complicated issue, and it is a global issue. It's not limited to the US. But to act like Biden is the sole influencer of inflation is ridiculous.

Now, I keep harping on the fact that politicians have huge limits on what they can do to fight inflation. But that doesn't mean there is zero they can do. Push investment into alternative energy production (solar, wind, hydro) to alleviate the need for fossil fuels will help push fuel prices down. This is something the GOP is adamant that we not do. Cheaper energy and fuel will in turn pushes down commodity prices. Invest in alternative farming methods in the hope that food production increases, that will help push down food prices. I'm sure there are other initiatives that economists can point to that will help alleviate inflation. However, there is no magic wand that Biden or any politician can wave that makes inflation go away.

Ahh yes, you have no understanding of worldwide inflation and how the US has effectively battled it versus most rest of The world but want God Biden to create socialist price controls that will massively increase inflation and have him impeached rather than address why the inflation began in the first place with the 7.9 trillion deficit spending low interest COVID’s denying jackass we had in office creating the mess. Lord, why not hand Trump the Presidency.

can you at least educate yourself on macroeconomics, a split Congress, and the limitations of the reach of a President in a world economy before ranting. He, let’s have Biden lower oil prices to 3.00 a barrel with a wave of his imaginary decostification powers ala Trumps mental declassification powers. Jesus
