The South for sure has some positives (food, beautiful country) but I love Michigan. The people here are so great. Except for our 4-5 months of winter, the weather is great. Pretty much any culture you could imagine can be found here and we welcome them all. Some people who are new around here get offended because we are curious and ask questions. I find other cultures very interesting and like to learn. I've had some really great conversations with Middle Eastern people even though our beliefs are polar opposites.

Once the unions get ran out of here, I think it will be nearly perfect. Jenny has screwed the economy up enough that we shouldn't have to worry about having a dem in office for a long time. Things really are looking up!

Lol, Michiganders have such a warped view of "good weather". That's like saying, "except for only having one eye, Barry has great depth perception!".

then we people in the north would be far richer. supporting our southern failures cost us a fortune the last 150 years. in fact, cutting them loose is still an option as far as I am concerned.
it would be fun to see toyota, etc close up in the south when we put import restrictions on goods from the south. let toyota open a factory in detroit if they want to sell to the north.

Do you have some deep-seated personal issues you want to tell us about? I'm sorry that your welfare-state, happy fun land (aka Detroit) has failed and industry is flocking to the South.

That's the time that we all work on our houses...put on some winter chub...its not bad. Its an excuse to not have to leave the house.

think about it...no yard work, calling in to work because the roads are bad, perfect excuse to not have to go see the in-laws....

Plus the best part is when it does turn warm, chicks can't wait to break out their tank tops and skimpy clothes. During this time of year it can be 75 during the day and drop down to 40's or 50's real quick. This is the best time of year to play spot the nipple.
