If the social conservative base has such a low opinion of New York - why do they get so riled up about 9/11?

Because we've established your motives for this thread and related questions are racial, there is nothing that I can really do to answer you.

Do you happen to only shop at stores that are owned by people of your race?

No, that's ridiculous. My comment about race was specifically directed at Orange County. The place where you live.

You're dodging and you're not good at it. The question is, "isn't it too early to judge the new President's Presidency?"

For the record, I'm willing to go out for some kind of P&N meet up and talk all of this over at a bar :)

Or try to save our ass.

I got myself out of debt by maxing out all my credit cards. It works, try it.

On some level that can make sense, if the money is spent wisely. For example, how many people go into debt to get themselves a good education, and then get a much better job afterward? But we're not talking about individuals here; we're talking about the gov't. Since when does gov't spending not overrun projections or underperform in results?

I fear the solution is or soon will be worse than the problem. These debts have to be paid one of these days.
Well if we are ever prosperous again we can pay them down.

Sure, in theory, but even in prosperous times, gov't just keeps right on spending. That's just reality. The federal gov't has spent more than it brought in the majority of years I've been alive, and that's probably true for your lifetime as well.

Judge? Sure. But it's never too early to voice disagreement with the policies and programs, especially when these changes will quite possibly be a part of this country for the rest of our lives.

Title edited to reflect what it should have said :)

The title should actually read "Why dont the lefties get riled up about 9/11?"

More like, "Why is OCguy such an idiot partisan troll?"

Everyone in America -- right and left -- gets 'riled up' about 9/11. The ONLY people who think otherwise are blind partisan hacks who probably think people that vote the other party eat babies for breakfast or some ridiculous braindead shit like that. In that particular regard, OCguy, you're no different than the far leftists you try to berate. Which BTW is why no one takes you or Fear No Evil seriously. Why should they? You claim to be superior to people you're alike in every way except for this fantasy of partisan affiliation.

The answer to the OP's question BTW is because we are all Americans, Republican and Democrat, left and right. And the enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend.

Republican hacks judged Obama's Presidency before he even took office. Granted, Democratic hacks did the same to Bush, but the difference there is most of their criticism actually came true...

People in Oklahoma and Texas are still claiming 9/11 as a hardship to their mortgage lenders when asked why they haven't made their payments.

Here's some answers to your questions:

1. While social conservatives acknowledge NYC to be a modern-day Gemorrah, we hate Arabs even more and terorrism gives us a chance to express this.

2. If terrorists kill New Yorkers, that's less working class proles that we capitalists have to oppress, pay slave wages to, and offshore the jobs of.

3. If terrorists kill New Yorkers, that's less women whom we can oppress in our patriarchal society and force into having unwanted children by outlawing abortion.

4. We secretly enjoy seeing New Yorkers in misery, and dying via terrorism is way too easy a way out for them.

5. By seeming to make such a big fuss about NYC, it invites terrorists to keep on hitting the city over and over instead of other targets of opportunity.

it gives them an excuse to rally round the cause of kicking
ass in the Mid-East. they wanted to go kick some ass, but
they needed a reason.
