If the security council does not act on Iran can Israel handle them ?

Israel's air force cannot disable Iran's nuclear power.

Even with their advanced aircraft.

They need the help of the U.S.

Yes we can.

Iran will just strike back but the U.S is very capable of destroying their nuclear sites.

The US is capable of completely destroying Iran period....if the gloves are taken off. You are misguided if you think Israel's military is not capable of destroying Iran's nuclear sites. Israel could completey wipe Iran off the map also, once again with no political restraints.

You don't know what it is you are talking about.

I suggest you go educate yourself on the issue before you post anything else.

Israel's aircraft do not have enough fuel to strike Iran's nuclear sites and return back to Israel.

The U.S doesn't take off their gloves. Last time I checked the U.S doesn't go around killing millions of civilians to win wars.

Are you suggesting Israel is barbaric as well?

The F-15l has a range of 2400 Miles. They could strike 90% of Iran and get back to Israel easily.

What are you talking about?

Well they ARE the best pilots in the world, that's for sure. Israeli pilots have never lost a joint exercise.

Why do you think Rumsfeld wants those bunker-busting nukes?

Well... should I go ask the citizens of Dresden that question?

Uhh, if push came to shove and Iran was attacking Israel, they might sacrafice 60-70 pilots and planes to strike Iran with that many nukes...60 pilots vs. Iran's whole population dead...who wins?

The F-15l has a range of 2400 Miles

The F-16 has a range of 2000+ miles

The Israelis have also heavily modified these planes to suit their needs. They have the most advanced missle systems and targeting systems in the world as well as extra fuel tanks.

There is no doubt in any educated persons mind that Israel has the capability to carry out devastating strikes on Iran with ease.

As I understand it, Iran's nuke faciliies are thought to be extremely "hardened" and incapable of being destroyed by air attack (bombing). Do we even know where all the underground facilities are located?

Actually Aimster is right, they don't. Plus, they'd have to go over Iraq to get to Iran (US Airspace), so they would in fact need US help/permission.

A) Look at the distance from Israel - Iran. Not the border but to each nuclear site.

B) Look at the requirements that makes those aircraft go 2,400. How much weight are they carrying to go that distance?

A report has already came out by the Pentagon that says Israel cannot attack Iran. It doesn't have the capabilities.

It needs to land in Iraq or get refueled over Iraq.

Israelis jets are going to be seen on Iranian radar. They also have to dodge anti-aircraft weapons.

You honestly think the US wouldn't turn a blind eye? They could also go around Iraqi territory. Through Kuwait.

I wouldn't hesitate to say that the Israel planes have a significantly higher range than ours. They are involved in active defense much more than the American air force.

to the last 2 posts. first the one about permission.. Cmon man have they ever asked for permisiion yet ?

And to the othe before about do they know where theyare , plus they are hardened ? LOL

You think the Mossad doesnt know where each is to the inch probably.

Heck i would not be surprised if Israeli Agents were working in the factories 🙂

Iran is not right next to Israel. Going around any country requires

A) Permission from those countries.
B) Using more fuel

& Israel doesn't have to get permission from any Arab nation. They can just face their own aircraft in the air when they invade their airspace.

Again, is the Pentagon privy to everything that Israel has/can do?

Their missle systems and targeting systems are more advanced than ours. Even if they can't do it without refueling, why not put refueling planes over the Indian Ocean?

Exactly, to get to Kuwait they'd have to go through Saudi Arabia, and to even get to Iraq they'd have to go through Jordan or Syria...they will not get permission from these countries so they'll either have to do it anyway, or go around (which is impossible because it uses too much fuel).

Because they don't have any refueling planes. And they have no aircraft carriers.

Maybe because the Pentagon knows what weapons Israel has? We supply them.

Most of their weapons are U.S made. Their aircraft are U.S made.

Israel could not have have possibly upgraded the fuel anymore and still be able to carry the amount of ammo required to take out Iran's nuclear sites.

The jets are already upgraded to the maximum.
