If the 'Mark all read' is intended to clear the message history, why not call it that?

I am so pissed off right now. I thought that this was simply going to add a little flag or something besides the private messages in my history but instead, it appears to have deleted all 2000+ messages. Please make sure that this command is renamed to be unambiguous in the future. I just lost 6 weeks of unsaved messages, including the last 10 days of rc5 recruiting for team Anandtech.

dennifloss try and read the help, VIEW HISTORY your messages are still there. It just marks them as READ like it SAYS.

Even before we had the mark all as read feature, my private messages would always go into the history folder as soon as I'd read them..

OK Zuni. Now I seem to be able to access my history again. The 3 times after I hit that button, clicking 'view history' brought me back to the forums summary, as if my history was empty. Must have been a bug. Sorry. Keep up the good work.

BTW, can you increase the processing time allowed before we get a time-out error? 200 seconds is not enough to load my history and it's a bummer to have to add the extra time parameter in the addy each time. If I'm the only one or if that occasionates problems with the server, then forget it. I'll learn to live with it.
