If the Internet is so big, why is that I'm visiting the same sites daily?

Heh. My usual routine is ABCnews -> Ebay -> Retrogames -> Anandtech and 5+ sites in my bookmark. That's about it. I don't download daily -- only when I feel like it. I don't do a lot of instant messaging; usually, three times a week. I do use email daily, which is the highlight of my surfing time.

There has to be other interesting sites out there that can capture my attention like the $90,000+ check and Bernard the Spam king. The electronic projects sites are not bad, but most of them don't have any cool, easy projects.

I bet you, basically, have the same surfing routines.

I visit even fewer sites daily. It's like the DirecTV dish we have, 300 channels and not a damn thing on.

how come my bick is do dig... but...
whoops. wrong analogy 🙂

well, the internet is made by humans, so like humans, the internet is still 99.99% BS 🙂

:it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood,a beautiful day in the neighborhood, would you, could you be my neighbor?"

We all want to belong, to hang in places where they feel compelled to let us in and where we might be missed if we weren't aren't for awhile. Humans are social creatures,if there isn't a community waterhole we usually find a way to build one 😀

The web doesn't have much more to offer today than it did back in the days of mosaic, really. There's just more junk to wade through now.
I only go to a few sites on a regular basis as well.

Actually, that's not so true for me...every so often, someone will point me to something cool on the internet and it will take up my attention for a few days...but after that, it's back to the same routine. You gotta be consistently worthwhile to be on my permanent list...

I didn't have time earlier to post anything, but my usual routine is, check e-mail, check these other forums I frequent, then check these.

Refresh these forums every 5 seconds.

Nothing else online interests me. But also, this forum is the most active one. All the rest of the forums I post at, you need to wait at least 24 hours before someone replies to your thread.

That's what I like about ATOT.

I just check some game programming sites, Anandtech, get on IM services (talk if someone interesting is on or i need programming help), and check e-mail. More recently, tho, I have been exploring german websites to work on my german. I also d/l music.

I use google a lot, so it means I get to see new sites every time that Im looking for answers to my homeworks. 😉

If I'm not doing homework, Im on ATOT, hotmail, my school email and time.com 🙂

That's because most internet site contents are static. Look at any sites that you go back to often, their content changes hourly/daily/weekly/etc, hence making them dynamic. Kinda like comparing a picture(static) to a TV(dynamic content)...

Find sites with dynamic content that fits your interests/hobbies and your internet world gets bigger.
