The previously moribund celtics are looking damn good this year... if they win it all, how will you feel about Boston's dominance in pro sports?

Whats funny is, people forget about how basketball is actually played when played right.

If KG is having a GOOD night in the low post, they have 3 defenders down there, leaving 2 defenders to cover 4 players around the parimeter. Rondo, Peirce, and Allen all have good 3 balls. Eddie House is AWESOME off of the bench. If you saw the game against Denver it was a good example. They tried to stack guard KG, then they switched to guard against the 3ball. Then they tried a zone defense, which ended up in them NOT PLAYING D AT ALL...

That is why I beleive the Celtics are going to Win this year, including over Tim Duncan and the shitty spurs.

Also, Peirce is playing 10x happier and harder. Allen and KG feel comfortable knowing they dont HAVE to HAVE the ball. If they have an off night, give the ball to one of the other players and they can more than capably score..
For Example the begining of the game against the Pacers, KG And Allen were having HORRIBLE shooting nights..but Peirce more than hapily picked up the slack, and in the end Allen, and KG ended up finding their shots.

And you've obviously forgotten about Bowen, Ginobli and Parker ... not to mention the players coming off our bench - Elberto, Horry, Vaughn, Washington, Manu (Finley starts), Bonner, Barry ... seriously, think about the Celtics bench. Then think about a 7 game series ... 4 times in a row.

We'll see what Boston is made of come All Star break, or once they play the "elite" teams of the West.

NBA has a salary cap, right? I Don't see how you can 'buy' a championship... you can in baseball though.

Say what you want - if he was on your team, you wouldn't bitch. And if you understood anything about defending a jump shooter, and a star one at that, then you'd understand the theory of undercuts.

QFT

Boston citizens do not need another reason to think they are gods gift to the earth.

As a Mavs fan I would warn you Celtics fan against getting your hopes up when your team is playing intense ball in the regular season, we wore ourselves out last year.

Aside from that, it would be great to see the Celtics win. To me it's more about the particular players, I love KG and Ray Allen and would love to see them do well. All bets are off if they play the Mavs in the finals though.

I couldn't care less what city it is (unless it's Philly), if a team is good I generally respect them unless they give me a reason not to.

Ray Allen will pull one of these by the All-Star break.

That was freakin awesome!

That'd be sweet if the Celtics won it all this year. The Kings have no shot in hell so from the west I'd like to see the Warriors, but again another underdog without a shot. Which leaves me wishing the Celts would win it so KG could finally get himself a well-deserved ring.

But, if you have been listening, it's the big three and everyone is saying that the only way we will win an NBA Championship is if the role players play just well enough to let us win.

the Mavs didn't lose because they were tired.
