If someone accidently leaves you a voicemail/text message

No Lifer
that is obviously meant for someone else.. do you listen to it/read it and ignore it or do you call/text the person back and let them know of their mistake?

if it's just a "hi, give me a call" would you respond to let them know they had the wrong number?

or

if the message contains what might be important info would you respond and let them know they had the wrong number?

even if someone says, "my plane is landing at 5:00pm tonight so you can pick me up then, thanks"

hmmm.... maybe go into stalker mode and go pick them up

well... i had someone leave a text that stated their plane arrival and need to be picked up. i texted them back "wrong number"

and i'll always do that if the situation arises.

I got a voicemail message from some lady in another state about a year ago. She thought I was someone else and said my brother was missing and they were looking for him in the parks, hospitals, etc. She was pretty upset, I felt pretty bad, but glad I didn't pick up.

I don't listen to my voicemail, so it wouldn't be a problem.

and this, i don't do voicemail
and i don't answer the phone if i don't know who it is

I got a text once - some out of state number wanting something to do with pot. He never replied. 🙁

I would listen to it and delete it.
can't be bothered, eh?
Nope. Its not my problem you can't dial a phone number correctly or store said phone number into your phone.

agreed

my voicemail has my name and number on it.

if you cant listen to it and realize i'm not the person you wanted to call.. that's your problem.

let your ass be stranded somewhere.

this happened to me once but the guy was looking for my dad (our numbers are off by 1 digit) so i had to call back

in your scenario i would probably let them know in an insulting manner. if i'm going to take the time to inform i'm going to get a shot in at least.

however i would completely understand someone not wanting to call back if i made that mistake. don't want to reinforce imprecision
