If re-elected, what would Bush do in the next four years?

All we've heard about so far is how Kerry flipflops and how people don't like our freedom.

But what's Bush going to do in the next four years? I'm especially interested in what conservatives (and neocons which so many of you are) have to say.

Here's my prediction:

If he wins, then Congress will still be Republican. The "war on terror" will stay much the same way it is. They will not expand the "war on terror" because, let's face it, it's becoming too unpopular. I think we'd see continuing poor relations with other countries. Nothing would be done about North Korea and probably not about Iran (but I'm not sure about Iran).

Domestic is where I think things would happen. More religiosity and de-secularization. More corporate welfare and more stripping of social programs. More stripping away of environmental protections. I think the economy would continue to get worse under GWB with only new jobs being mcdonald's type stuff. Outsourcing would become a bigger issue and GWB would do a "clean sky" trick where a paltry amount of money or resources would go towards retrianing and such.

Please post your predictions before you criticize other predictions . Thanks.

And what is your prediction of what would actually happen? Let's face it, politicians talk about what they think we want to hear, or in GWBs case, they try to scare us. Also, what they promse rarely comes to fruition. So I want to know what people think really will happen.

The deficit will continue to rise.
The military will continue to expand.
The Medicare prescription bill will turn into a fiasco that will cost even more to correct (that's going to happen no matter who gets elected, though. Thanks, Bush)
No progress will be made on the Israeli/Palestinian issue.
Iran will move further toward a fundamentalist and rogue regime and will begin attaining increasing support from within Iraq.
Alternative fuel research will go nowhere.
Christian beliefs will seep further into the legislation introduced by the administration and the Republican-controlled Congress.
The environment will being showing signs of the effects of the Bush about-face on various regulations (clean air, clean water, roadless rule, etc.)

Without re-election looming over him he will go complete far right and be twice as bad as he's been. It will be a sad four years.

Forgot that one! :p Except I think it will definitely get worse.

Sadly, I don't think it will show up in the next four years. I think it takes a lot of time for the damage to sink in and usually it's too late. :(

Thats my biggest fear as well. If the first 4 were this bad.... I can't begin to imagine the next 4 if he gets re-elected.....

What would he do for the next four years? Probably Iran after he abandons Afghanistan.

Just my prediction, though.

Sounds good to me! ;)

But seriously, I predict that with either president:
Medicare problems
Issues with Iran & no progress with Israeli/Palestinian issue
Bad economy

But with Bush, I expect to see:
Completing our mission in Iraq
Less taxes for me (YAY!)
Military will expand
No BS about environment & alternative fuel
Having a leader with a "backbone made of tempered steel" who does not make decisions based on public opinion, nor asks permission from other countries before proceeding with action.

That's all I need to vote for Bush.

We did when Bush first got into office. Trouble is, she actually wanted to do good for the environment so she got the heave-ho. Much like Paul O'Neill did.

Yeah we need more activist liberal judges in the Supreme Court.

Do we have one now, what is her/his name? Or do you just like repeating nonsensical terms like "activist liberal judges" because Rush and Hannity use it?

Can't predict anything positive much, but nothing horrible either.

The economy will stay poor to fair.
Concerns about the working poor escalate.
The rich get richer.
Great victory for freedom declared in Iraq.

Remember that these guys are gone in four years, and if they make Americans sick to their stomach of the neocon agenda, an R lever might not be pulled in November for a very long time. Hell, I might be so pissed off I cast a vote for Hillary over McCain in 2008.

The only thing that would really scare me in the next four is if another right-wing fundamentalist emerged as a leader of the party, wanting to use the military to create a world as he thinks God intended.

Champion legislation to reinstitute the draft.

Invade Iran.

Invade Syria.

Threaten to invade North Korea, but neglect to do so because they don't have any oil. The press will hail it as a brilliant high-stakes Reagan-style staredown.

Authorize Homeland Security to heavily monitor the Internet and private email. Drastically curtail free speech, to a point where some American citizens are detained or imprisoned for speaking out against the government's actions.

Ignore Afghanistan.

Ignore the economy, except as it applies to the top 1% of the population.

Ignore the abortion issue, because it is an incredibly effective tool for mobilizing voters, but only as long as it stays unresolved.

Ignore the gay marriage "issue" for the same reasons as above.

Yeah, one with freedom, liberty, and justice. And without the daily fear of being executed by the government. That would be a damn shame if America tried to spread that garbage.

If you don't know the difference between right and wrong, you're a moron. Liberals are big on freedom of choice. Everyone can choose their lifestyle, their morality, etc. Well, I don't think freedom of choice applies to evil dictators. That is one area I agree we should assert our might, and force them to govern how we think is correct.

I wonder where the conservatives are? Let me give my best guess at what they would say:

Economy improves;
war on terror is a steady success;
Iraq holds free elections and everything is hunky dory after that;
more fetuses saved;
Less government in your life (except religious pressure)

You know what? I hope and pray that's exactly what'll happen. I hope I'm wrong about everything I just posted, because I'm pretty sure Bush WILL win. But I just can't see the Great Neocon Crusade ending well.
