The truth is, we are all the same. Remove the police from any community, and the same thing happens. It is why we all pay taxes, and why we formed communities in the first place. We recognized what we have in common, what we need in common, and formed institutions in common. Why those institutions govern with the consent of the people.

I want to reply to you because, everything above this post is garbage. Written either/or short sighted and/or young lived.

Police need to be required to live in the communities they service. This used to be a law, at least when I was growing up in MI. If you wanted to be a cop you needed to be a resident of the community you were serving. That brings along understanding of your neighbors, better rapport with you community and also respect for the people of that community.
