If Playboy magazine is about beautiful women (plus other things)

I thought the women on there were all about natural beauty. With that much photo post processing an average woman can look like a perfect 10 model.
 
you are right it is about beutiful women. its about makeing them look the best they can. a little touchup helps the fantasy.


its one of the reasons i like playboy. the women are amazing. not to mention it even has some good articles every now and then.
 
in a recent edition of Photographic (could have been some other magazine) they talked with a playboy photog and went to a shoot with him. No touch-ups, they are old school and shoot film. They were crazy about their lighting though, they must have had 30 lights and reflectors for each. They also took many prep shots to check results. Each shoot would take hours upon hours.

Cliff notes: no touch ups, just a lot of preparation
 
A lot of it is artistic impression I think. Soft lenses, mood, etc.

Gotta admit some really good photographers work for playboy.
 
they did a show on the photographers of playboy once. it was amazing how much prep and time they take before a shoot. Not to mention how many pictures they take compared to how many they use.

it was a good show (no they did'nt show any nude women).

For the common magazine... a photoshoot can have 15 [very qualified] outtakes for 3 actual pictures used in the mag. I'm sure in many cases even more outtakes...

yes they do.

i know a few women taht look far more beautiful WITHOUT makup etc. some women do not need it to be beatiful.
